Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

Upon arrival in Beijing, your TravelTidesChina private guide will be waiting for you in the airport arrivals hall, holding a name sign and greeting you with a warm smile. A private vehicle and professional driver will then transfer you comfortably to your hotel.
Your guide will assist with the check-in process, confirm your upcoming itinerary, and ensure everything is arranged smoothly for the days ahead. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to rest after your journey or begin exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 2: Beijing
Imperial Heritage
Begin your exploration of Beijing with a visit to the magnificent Forbidden City, the grand imperial palace that served as the residence of Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years. Wander through its vast courtyards and admire the exquisite traditional architecture.
Later, visit the sacred Temple of Heaven, where emperors once performed rituals to pray for good harvests. Continue to the elegant Summer Palace, known for its beautiful lakes, gardens, and imperial pavilions.
Day 3: Beijing
The Great Wall & Hutong Culture
Today you will visit the legendary Great Wall of China, one of the greatest architectural achievements in human history. Walk along the ancient stone pathways and enjoy spectacular mountain scenery.
In the afternoon, explore Beijing’s traditional hutong alleyways, where narrow lanes, courtyard homes, and local shops offer a glimpse into the city’s authentic daily life.
Day 4: Beijing to Xi’an
Ancient Capital
Travel to Xi’an, one of China’s most historic cities and the ancient starting point of the Silk Road. Upon arrival, explore the vibrant streets and immerse yourself in the city’s rich cultural atmosphere.
Take a walk or bike ride along the impressive Ancient City Wall of Xi'an, one of the best-preserved city walls in China. Later, visit the bustling Muslim Quarter to experience the city’s famous street food and multicultural heritage.
Day 5: Xi’an
Terracotta Warriors
Today you will visit the extraordinary Terracotta Army, one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in the world. Thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots stand silently guarding the tomb of China’s first emperor.
Return to Xi’an in the afternoon and enjoy free time to further explore the city.
Day 6: Xi’an to Zhangjiajie
Travel from Xi’an to Zhangjiajie, a region renowned for its spectacular natural landscapes. After arrival, enjoy a relaxed evening preparing for the upcoming exploration of this remarkable national park area.
Day 7: Zhangjiajie
Avatar Mountains
Explore the breathtaking scenery of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, famous for its towering sandstone pillars that inspired the floating mountains in the movie Avatar. Visit the iconic Yuanjiajie scenic area and admire the dramatic rock formations rising through the mist.
Day 8: Zhangjiajie
Glass Bridge & Natural Wonders
Experience the thrill of walking across the transparent Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge suspended high above the canyon. Later, ride the remarkable Bailong Elevator, the world’s tallest outdoor elevator, offering incredible views of the surrounding cliffs and valleys.
Day 9: Zhangjiajie to Guilin
