Day 1: Arrival in Chongqing

Upon arrival in Chongqing, your TravelTidesChina private guide and driver will be waiting to welcome you at the airport or at the train station exit. A comfortable private vehicle will transfer you directly to your hotel, ensuring a smooth and relaxed start to your journey in this dynamic mountain city.
Day 2: Chongqing
A City of Layers and Energy
Begin your exploration with a walk through Xiahaoli Old Street, where historic alleyways blend seamlessly with modern cafés and creative boutiques. This charming neighborhood offers countless photo-worthy corners and a glimpse into Chongqing's evolving urban culture.
Next, ride the Yangtze River cable car and enjoy sweeping river views as you cross to the Huguang Guild Hall. Here, learn about the migration history, commerce, and cultural roots of the Yangtze River region.
Continue to one of Chongqing’s most iconic sights - a light-rail train passing directly through a residential building, a striking example of the city's vertical design. Then visit Goose Neck Park, home to elegant Chinese gardens and former consulate sites that reflect Chongqing's international past.
As evening falls, head to Hongyadong, Chongqing's most famous riverside complex. Browse local shops, sample regional snacks, and take in the spectacular night views along the river.
Day 3: Chongqing to Wulong
Karst Landscapes of Wonder
Depart Chongqing in the morning for a scenic drive of approximately three hours to the Wulong area.
Explore Wulong National Park, a dramatic display of southern China’s karst geology. The park features three majestic natural stone bridges and two enormous sinkholes, creating a landscape both powerful and surreal. Spend time walking through the valley, admiring the formations, and capturing unforgettable photographs.
After the visit, return to Chongqing by private vehicle.
Day 4: Chongqing to Chengdu
Dazu Rock Carvings & High-Speed Train
Set out for the Dazu Rock Carvings, Chongqing's only UNESCO World Heritage Site. Carved between the 9th and 13th centuries, these detailed Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian sculptures reveal extraordinary artistic skill and spiritual depth. Your guide will share the stories and symbolism behind these remarkable works.
Following the visit, transfer to the railway station and take a high-speed train to Chengdu.
Day 5: Chengdu
Giant Pandas & Local Life
IVisit Chengdu's famous panda base in the morning. To enhance your experience, we plan a thoughtful route and timing to avoid peak crowds and align with the pandas’ most active hours, giving you the best chance to observe them up close.
Next, visit a traditional cave dwelling once used by local craftsmen. Learn about this unique lifestyle and try your hand at making a mini terracotta warrior.
In the afternoon, discover Chengdu's relaxed city rhythm. Visit Wenshu Monastery to observe monks in practice and locals at worship. End the day strolling through Jinli Ancient Street, where traditional architecture and local snacks offer a flavorful taste of Sichuan culture.
Day 6: Chengdu Departure
